StarAligners Essix Retainers

All the details you need to know.

You did it! Your smile is straight! But yes, now you have to keep it that way. Our Star Retainers are how you do it.

Essix retainers are the natural next step after StarAlignersPro clear aligners.

Retainers do their job by guiding and maintaining your teeth’s position and the alignment of your bite. Even after StarAlignersPro adjusts your teeth’s position, forces incurred during chewing and other normal activities can shift them back out of place. Retainers ensure that your teeth can resist this pressure. Essix retainers are unique in their low-profile appearance, just like your StarAlignersPro™ clear aligners. They’re constructed entirely of transparent plastic with no metal wires and are removable for meals and brushing. Our Essix retainers are created from a final impression or mold of your teeth, custom-made from your new StarAlignersPro smile.

Essix retainers are more comfortable. We want the best for you!

StarAlignersPro has selected the most popular Essix retainer material for our Star Retainers. The Essix material is comfortable and is 1 millimeter thick to retain your teeth alignment.

Okay, but how long do I have to wear these things?

When you finish your last aligner, you wear your Star Retainer for 22 hours per day for 1 month. After the 1st month, you can go to nighttime wear. Finish dinner, brush your teeth, and put in your retainer. Wake up and remove and clean your retainer – simple.

  • For the 1st month after finishing aligner treatment — keep your Star Retainers in 22hrs / day
  • After the 1st month — just wear them at night!
  • Take retainers out to eat and drink, just like your aligners
  • Clean and store Star Retainers just like your aligners
  • You can even use our Whitening Foam to help with teeth whitening while you wear your retainers!

Happy patients, happy orthodontists

“I’d always been self-conscious about my smile but could never afford braces. Now I smile all the time. It’s funny, my kids are doing the same program I just completed. We’re a StarAligners™ household now.”

S. ALEX

“My aligners are comfortable and were only slightly sensitive at the very beginning. The process was easy to get started and I was able to see progress just 2 months after starting my plan. Big fan.”
